In addition to applying for the BD program, applicants must first apply directly to their PhD program of interest (deadlines vary, Dec-Jan). The UC Santa Barbara BD program will be coordinated by the Center for Science and Engineering Partnerships, the UCSB Graduate Division, the Division of the Mathematical, Life, and Physical Sciences and the College of Engineering, and CAMP-UCSB.

How to Apply

To be considered for the 2018-2020 BD Fellowship, the application below must be completed at the time that you submit your graduate program application to UCSB.

  1. Verification Letter - Have your current/former LSAMP Director submit a letter verifying your participation in LSAMP/CAMP. The letter must include a statement about the extent and duration of your participation in LSAMP and be signed and on letterhead. Letters should be emailed to Arica Lubin (alubin@cnsi.ucsb.edu).
  2. Application Form - Please provide the following information. Thank you.

Identify three UCSB faculty with whom you are interested in working with. Please also include if you have been in contact with any of these faculty. These names are non-binding and only serve to give the committee an idea of which groups you might be interested in joining.
